This month we break ground on a new home in Orono. A fresh take on an American classic, this modern cape cod style home will sit on 10 acres in Orono, MN. This sleek and refined home will combine classic architectural elements with modern finishes. At the end of a turnaround driveway, the house will sit on a hill overlooking marshland and Painter Creek.
The front entry way has a hallway extending on either side, and runs along the front side of the house. The hallway be flooded with light and have cased openings into the kitchen, dining room, great room, and stair way. The dining room wall will double as a floor-to-ceiling glass wine cabinet. The kitchen, dining room and breakfast area will look out over the terraced lawn and swimming pool. There will be a series of doors leading to the patio and swimming area. A screen porch off of the great room will house a large wood-burning fireplace. The open stairway in the east wing of the house will lead to a comfortable second floor which will have a craft room, laundry room, family room, and bedrooms. The lower level of the house will have a media room, exercise room, game room and sport court.
